The Gift
Let me start by saying this: I kinda figured BDSM mostly isn't for me. I recognize many other people love it. This series is highly rated by the majority of my online book loving friends. (So if you like or want to give BDSM a try, this series might work for you). I do consider myself a feminist and anytime I question consent and/or the relationship being an unequal one, I struggle to continue whatever book I am currently reading (or trying to).
The following quote turned me off utterly and completely from reading further:
"So I don't get a say?"
"...he grabbed her by the knees and wrenched her toward him. ...his hands lifting her skirt and prying her thighs apart. With two fingers he penetrated her quick and hard.
Who do you belong to?" he demanded, his voice quietly threatening."
"You sir," she answered through teeth gritting against the sudden violation."
