Jake is in the "recovery" business. He is ex-military and has found a job the suits him, he likes, and supports his siblings. Steph owns her own business, a undersea tour company. She is in the process of re-building, after getting burned by her ex. She happens to be the stepdaughter of the man Jake is tasked with investigating.
This was fun read. I liked both Steph and Jake. Both are not only likable, but driven and after what they think is right. I not only liked them individually, but also together. This has a good combination of romance and mystery. I didn't like the ending so much; this is not wrapped up and continues in book 2. You could say cliffhanger! Which I must get! (Which is probably the whole point.....and I'm falling for it. Back when it was on sale, I bought myself (with Amazon Visa reward dollars; free!) a year long KU subscription. I will be redeeming it this month).
